Book Binding this Saturday...

I've managed to teach myself soft cover book binding. I love paper, and now I REALLY love paper! I am obsessed with binding books now, I've given 6 away as gifts already. If anyone would like to watch this wonderful process you can hop on down to the shop on Saturday 11am & 1pm.

It will be fun, I'll have a few chairs set up for those of you who really want to get lost in the process. Hopefully I won't curse too much when my thread knots, cause it will happen. It always does!

Mike's classes are underway!

What a wonderful group we got in for Mike's first set of classes! Everyone set up and jumped right in, and Mike didn't skip a beat! He is a natural teacher. He is so proud of his first class! He is planning another Drawing I class for Thursday March 20th, for those of you that missed this opportunity call ASAP. He will be making the classes 1 1/2 hours... and he's keeping the rate at $20 for the three weeks. 4 1/2 hours of drawing for $20!!! Call the shop if anyone is interested to get on the waiting list & get the materials list.

WOO-HOO! We did it!

We had a wonderful reception on Friday! Food, fun and wine... we had a great time. Chad did such a good job with the commentary on the video, and he still had his voice at the end of the evening. It was really nice to see the shop so full. I tried to count at one point and there were more than 20 people!

Thanks to everyone that was patient with the shoulder to shoulder crowds. I couldn't have had a better crowd, you were all wonderful!

The food was to die for! No, I didn't cook, thanks to good neighbors! The Wine House did a fabulous job with the 6 selections of wines they had offered, as usual.
If you missed it, no worries, we'll be doing it again really soon!

Preparing for our first big event!

To whomever thought up self adhesive stamps... thank you! I've completed & sent 250 postcards for the upcoming reception featuring glassmith, Chad Jorgensen! I am really looking forward to a great turnout & a wonderful time. I'm getting giddy with anticipation :)

Friday January 18th 6pm-9pm, 602 Detroit Street, Sheboygan Falls, WI.
...be there or be square!

We are restocking current work & adding new talent as the date grows closer. The next few weeks I can focus on the menu & get the shop looking perfect for the event to kick off a new year! Chad will be chatting with everyone and it is a great chance to get to know him. I'm not sure what type of music we'll have... you'll just have to show up to find out!
